Waldorf Dolls

Well it's been awhile. I have been very slack with blogging.

On the upside though I do have a new baby to show off.

This gorgeous girl is going down to a very dear friend of mine. I am hoping that she brings many hours of happiness to her new little Mummy.

I have been eyeing off these beautiful dolls for years. Hannah has two smaller Waldorf dolls, but I wanted to make her one myself for her upcoming 5th birthday. Geez where has the time gone?

I am also selling these custom made Waldorf dolls for $140 plus postage.

They are a 16" doll, 100% wool stuffed, handmade wig with gorgeous yarns, & 100% made with love. Each little doll also comes with 5 piece of handmade clothing. As they are custom made I can also make your doll up with the hair & eye colouring of your choice.

Every well loved baby has to have ruffles on her toosh.

Felt fun

I have a confession to make - I have a really terrible felt addiction.

If there was a support group for it I would join.

What can I say though, there is just something so irresistible about felt hairclips on gorgeous little girls, felt food, and gorgeous little wooden dolls dressed in felt clothing.

Miss Hannah has been going through a dinosaur stage for quite awhile. She can't read enough dinosaur books, beg her Mummy for new dinosaur toys. So we made a compremise - Mummy made her something dinosaur themed.

So it was dinosaur themed = Happy Hannah.  Made from felt = Happy Mummy.

It's been far too long!!!

Gee,where to start. Other than that it's been far too long since I posted lasted.

I have been very contently knitting away in my own little world.

I have managed over the past few weeks to add two "Plain Vests" to Hannah's winter wardrobe. Also sending one to each to Matilda & Immy. To my relief they both fitted.

We have also had a few outings that Hannah has enjoyed. And she tried ever so hard to being this little guy home.
I also took part in a "Wee Wooden People" swap over at
http://webloomhere.blogspot.com/ Silly me though forgot to take a photo before I sent off my goodies to my partners.

I will upload some photos though as soon as we recieve our last two dolls.

New Years & Friends

Happy New Year.

Now onto getting my resolutions kicked into gear. One of them being putting more time, and pics into my blog. Also getting an online store set up. Now if only I could find that cord for the camera.

I have also been sent the link to a very, very close friend of mines blog. http://mylifeasacraftymumma.blogspot.com/ Check it out. Ange is amazing, and I have to say that my sewing ability has alot to do with this lady. I was always told that people come into your life for a reason. And this special person was the light at the end of the rainbow in a very dark place. Her friendship has made me a stronger person, and I wouldn't have gotten through alot without her. I miss her and those two gorgeous girls incredibly.

At the moment I am working on getting quite a few things sewn up, and photographed to go in my online store. Will post pics and details as soon as I have them.

Not long to go

Where has the time gone?  I can not believe that it is only two days till Christmas. With everything that has gone on throughout this year it has really made me sit back and reflect.

I see just how lucky Hannah & I are. We have a family who love & support us unconditionally. I have faith that 2011 will be better. And we have friends who love, support,& spoil us rotten. So many people are in far worse conditions & circumstances. I remind myself of this on a daily basis.

I have been happily sewing and crochetting like a mad woman. Atleast 75% of presents this year being given by Hannah & I are handmade. I tried to do them all, but just couldn't get my head around it. Heres hoping for next year.

I have also been patiently stalking the post lady waiting for my craft swap to arrive. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. I will also hunt through the packing boxes and find the cord to connect my camera so I can upload pictures of christmas crafts & my craft swap.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful Christmas that is filled with love, happiness, lots of handmade treasures, & seeing the joys on families faces.

New start!

Well things have been exceptionally busy here. Hannah & I have recently moved back to NSW from almost 6 years in Far Nth QLD. So the past 6 weeks have been a whirlwind.

With things starting to settle I starting to get my sewing mojo back, and back into things creative. My poor sewing machine didn't know what was going on being out of use for almost 8 weeks!!!

I am also taking part in the 'Xmas Washer Swap' over at Jellywares. Jodie has a stunning blog. Go have a look.  http://jellywares.blogspot.com/   My Daughter & I always looks at Jodie's site together. Hannah loves the pics of the lambs and pic's of their farm.
